![]() ![]() The only negative was the pool was always crowded and the fitness equipment really was dilapidated. We even saw a whale splash and spout from a roadside turnout. Great shopping, eating, aquariums, beaches, lighthouses, and kid friendly interactive marine museums, within a 10-15 minute drive. We live in WA and found that it is a great "long weekend" place, but we could have used another day, because there is so much to do. The restaurant food was above average and the bar does a great job on martinis. We witnessed people having different levels of success, but all were having fun. Take a 1 mile walk down the sidewalk and purchase fresh fish and crab right from the boats, or try your luck crabbing in front of the hotel with rented gear. Its June and it's harbor is busy with tuna fishing and crab boats. We have stayed at other places along the OR coast and they sometimes get the aroma from bird rocks. The Embarcadero has spectacular views of the marina and bay from every room. ![]()
